Dyron Patrick Nix (February 11, 1967 – December 15, 2013) was an American professional basketball player who was selected by the Charlotte Hornets in the 2nd round (29th overall) of the 1989 NBA Draft. Nix played only one year in the NBA for the Indiana Pacers during the 1989-90 season. He averaged 2.0 points in 20 games played. He played collegiately at the University of Tennessee and averaged 21.6 ppg during his senior season.

His daughter Cree began her college basketball career at Lipscomb University, then transferred to the University of Illinois at Chicago.[1]

Nix died on December 15, 2013 of pneumonia in Atlanta at the age of 46.[2]
