eM Client is a Windows based e-mail client for sending and receiving e-mails, managing calendars, contacts, and tasks.[1] It was developed as a user-friendly alternative to existing e-mail clients and calendar solutions. eM Client was originally developed in 2006 and has provided updated versions. eM Client requires Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installation.

License Type

eM Client targets two groups of customers and provides two types of license - Free and PRO. The Free license is intended for non-commercial use and supports two email accounts. The PRO version is intended for commercial use and provides for unlimited email accounts and support.

Email Support

eM Client supports all major email platforms but only the following are fully supported: GMail,[2] IceWarp and Apple Server. eM Client 5.0 includes GData protocol so the full sync includes tasks. Microsoft Exchange Server is partially supported.

eM Client has been translated into 12 languages and the localizations are updated periodically. With the release of Windows 8, Microsoft made eM client available in the built-in Windows 8 store. The version available there is free Version 5.0.1. It is now distributed with the final release of Windows 8.

This version will allow configuration of 2 IMAP or POP server account to any e-mail service provider that provides these 2 protocols as part of their service. This is in addition to Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail, and most other free e-mail services.
