Edvard Kožušník (born 30 January 1971) is a Czech politician. He served as Member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2014 and is the former Chief of Staff to the President Přemysl Sobotka. He was a Civic Democratic Party candidate for European Parliament election in 2009 and received the seventh largest number of preference votes in the party.

Education

Kožušník is a graduate of a high school and is currently studying at a university.

Personal life

He is fluent in Spanish, English, German, Russian and Bulgarian. His wife is Spanish and they have two children. His hobby is beach tennis.

Political career

Kožušník was one of the key people in charge of launching one of the first Czech governmental think-tank eStat.cz. Nowadays, he's begun a campaign for abolishing concessionary fees in the Czech Republic.
