Edward Raymond Neaher

Edward Raymond Neaher (May 2, 1912 in Brooklyn, NY April 19, 1994 in Chevy Chase, MD) was a federal judge for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Judge Neaher received an A.B. from the University of Notre Dame in 1937 and an LL.B. from Fordham University School of Law in 1943. He was United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York from 1969 to 1971.

He was nominated to the court by Richard M. Nixon on June 14, 1971, to a seat vacated by Joseph C. Zavatt, confirmed by the United States Senate on July 22, 1971, and received his commission on July 22, 1971. He assumed senior status on May 28, 1982. His service terminated on April 19, 1994, upon his death.
