Estadio is the fourth station on line B of the Medellín Metro from the center going west. It is an elevated station named after the nearby Atanasio Girardot Sports Complex, which is the main area for sports fields in the city that were used during the 2010 South American Games and where the two Medellín soccer teams play.[1] Nearby is also the headquarters for the daily newspaper El Mundo, Pontifical Bolivarian University, and the Unicentro shopping mall.
