Eurasmus is a website founded in 2014 that offers accommodation, internships and unique city guides online. It offers a system in which exchange students can list through many vacancies and easily apply to them or find accommodation and book it online using a secure payment system, what allows the students to have a room or apartment before they arrive in their Erasmus destination.[1] [2]

History

Eurasmus was founded in 2014 and is based in Seville, Spain. The company was given funding by the European Regional Development Fund scheme, allowing it to expand across Europe. The company has the aim to integrate by the end of 2015 a free internship portal for students looking to find internships, work placements and even jobs across Europe.[3][4][5]

Operational

Eurasmus is a free to use platform for both landlords and users such as universities and students. Both sides must create an account filling in the necessary information, making the whole process secure and spamless. Once a booking is successfully made, the landlord will receive the 1st month of rent minus a small fee, which is calculated based upon the amount of months the tenant will be staying.

Currently, the company offers these services:

Accommodation

Students can easily find their room in most of the European cities and Erasmus destinations by the integrated system.

Internships/Student jobs

Users can look through the list of Internships and Student jobs all over Europe in any field and apply for them using the platform, which also allows the users to create their CV online or apply by one's LinkedIn profile.

Student guides

Anyone interested in finding out the information about any city can read the student reviews created from students to students

Secure Payment

In order to ensure that there are no scams, the money is held until 24 hours after the tenant has arrived in their destination. If a complaint is made, then a team is assigned to investigate the complaint.[6]
