Fernando Javier Hurtado Pérez (Spanish pronunciation: [ferˈnando wrˈtaðo ˈpereθ], born 5 April 1983) is a Chilean footballer that currently plays for the Primera División club Antofagasta as a goalkeeper.

International career

In June 2007, Hurtado made his international debut for the Chile national football team in a 2–0 win over Cuba at the Estadio Germán Becker, being replaced for Javier di Gregorio in the 45th minute, during a friendly match, played at Temuco, in where with scores of the striker Roberto Gutiérrez in the 40th minute and the playmaker Daniel González of O'Higgins in that moment, in the 70th minute.

After of a game against Haiti on 23 May 2007, it was reported that Miguel Pinto refused be the third–choice goalkeeper for the Copa América that was disputed at Venezuela and Hurtado come on to replace Pinto and join of the squad, being called–up by Nelson Acosta.
