History

Formation and first records (2005-2008)

Forgotten Tears originally started as a four-man core band, including Faust Quaggia (vocals and rhythm guitar), Paolo Beretta (guitars), Andrea Giovannoni (bass guitar) and Matteo Torres (drums).
They recorded their first Promo CD titled Still Nothing Inside, with producer Ettore Rigotti (Disarmonia Mundi, Slowmotion Apocalypse, Stigma, Destrage). The promo cd included four tracks and was never released to public, the only purpose of that recording was to give a sample of what were the band attitude and musical influences, meanwhile they were looking to a record label. After about four years of playing shows with this line up, Faust Quaggia decided to devote himself only to vocals. Simone Laruccia joined the band in 2008 as a new rhythm guitarist.

2008-2010

Since the entrance of the new guitarist Simone Laruccia, the band started to play many live shows in Italy, also supporting All Shall Perish (Nuclear Blast Records) in June 2009.
During this period Forgotten Tears started writing new songs and recording some pre-productions, looking forward to enter the studio in 2010, to record their first full-length album.
The band never stopped to play live shows and tours in Italy and Europe.

Words To End (2010-2011)

After more than one year in Forgotten Tears, Simone left the band, after recording his guitar parts for the upcoming album.
While the band was finishing the recording sessions, Paolo De Maria joined the band and helped them for almost one year. In 2010 Forgotten Tears played as opening act for bands like Bleeding Through, Aborted, Rotten Sound and Misery Index. After few months of recording sessions, tours and live shows (all in the same period), the band finally came up with Words To End, their first full-length album.

WTE is a 11-track opus that drives the listener through many different music influences, extreme and brutal parts, catchy riffs, technical solos, neckbreaking breakdowns and downtempos, passing through introspective and emotional parts as well. [...] Words To End wisely combines the best of the Modern European Death Metal scene and the newest American hardcore/metalcore/deathcore wave, it will be highly appreciated by both extreme metal fans and melodic metal fans, thanks also to its particular multifaceted influences.[1]

Words To End was recorded at FT Studios, Mixed by Simone Mularoni (Empyrios, The Modern Age Slavery, Figure Of Six and many others) and Mastered by Alessandro Vanara (Stigma, Disarmonia Mundi, Destrage and many others).
