Frantz is a 2016 drama film directed by François Ozon. It was selected to compete for the Golden Lion at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival.[2] At Venice the film won the Marcello Mastroianni Award.[3] Edouard Manet's painting Le Suicidé is referenced a few times in the story.[4]
