Fred Newman (businessman)

Frederick Edward Fry Newman CBE, MC (1916–2012) was a shipbroking and aviation entrepreneur who founded and was a major shareholder and chairman of former leading UK independent airline Dan-Air for 37 years, from 1953–1990.[1]

He was awarded a CBE in the 1986 New Year Honours.
