Funicular railways of Valparaíso

Valparaíso in Chile, due to the number of hills above the plan has had up to 26 working funicular railways - most are now inactive, as of 2013 eight are still in active use.[1][2] The funicular railways were mainly constructed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
