Gabriel Michael Bateman (born 2004)[1] is an American child actor, known for his role as Martin in the horror film Lights Out. He also starred in the CBS series Stalker as Ethan Taylor, and portrays Jack Hawthorne in American Gothic.

Life and career

Bateman was born and raised in Turlock, California, but has moved to southern California since he started his career in acting. He is the youngest of nine children and the brother of actress Talitha Bateman.[2] In 2014, Bateman had a supporting role as Robert in the horror film Annabelle, the spin-off to The Conjuring. From 2014 until its cancellation the following year, he starred as Ethan Taylor in CBS' drama-thriller series Stalker.

In November 2014, he was cast in Robert Kirkman's series Outcast.[3] Bateman played a leading role, alongside Teresa Palmer, in the 2016 film Lights Out, produced by James Wan.[4] In addition, he has starred in commercials for Staples, Frigidaire, Energizer EcoAdvanced Recycled Batteries, Iams, and the Cadillac CTS Sedan.

Bateman has also appeared in two separate music videos (It's a Job/A New Beginning) for the "Wolfie's Just Fine" album by Jon Lajoie.[5][6]
