History

Gavin de Becker and Associates was founded in 1978 by Gavin de Becker. [3] In 2013, GDBA took on TPG Growth as a minority investor. [4][5]

Services

Gavin de Becker and Associates is a "threat assessment and security firm"[6] that provides private security[7] and also offers protection training courses.[8]

They have provided services to corporations, government agencies and schools. Clients have included Theresa Saldana, Madonna, Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michael J. Fox, Barbra Streisand, and John Travolta.[9]

Airport terminal services

In November 2015, Gavin de Becker and Associates announced they would be building and running a 43,750 ft airport terminal at Los Angeles International Airport "to allow celebrities, sports stars and the world's wealthy to glide directly from their chauffeur-driven limo to their first-class seat without having to interact with any of the general travelling public."[1]
