George "Boogie" Preston Ambler^[2] (born March 8, 1950 in Alderson, West Virginia) is an American politician and a Republican member of the West Virginia House of Delegates representing District 42 since January 12, 2013.

Ambler earned his BS from Bluefield State College.

Elections

2012 Ambler ran in the three-way May 8, 2012 Republican Primary and placed second with 792 votes (26.2%),^[3] and placed second in the four-way two-position November 6, 2012 General election with 5,556 votes (23.2%) behind incumbent Republican Representative Ray Canterbury (who had been redistricted from District 28) and ahead of Democratic nominees Steve Hunter (who had run in 2000 and 2002) and Glenn Singer.^[4]
