Gerald Thubron

Gerald Ernest Thubron (London, 13 July 1903 – Piltdown, 6 September 1992) was an English career soldier.[1] He was General Staff Officer of the division which spearheaded the Allied landing at Anzio in January 1944. He was awarded OBE 1944 and DSO 1945. His son is the writer Colin Thubron, his father was the olympic boatsman Emile Thubron.
