Ghosts of Empire

Ghosts of Empire is a 2011 book by Kwasi Kwarteng published by Bloomsbury.[1]

Ghosts of Empire is a book about the legacies of the British Empire in Iraq, Kashmir, Burma, Sudan, Nigeria and Hong Kong. The book emphasises the individualism and haphazard decision-making which lay at the heart of the British Empire. It stresses the lack of strategic vision which characterised British Imperial rule. This, in turn, led to long-term instability in areas once ruled by the British Empire.
