Giovanni De Gennaro (born 21 July 1992)[1] is an Italian slalom canoeist who has competed since 2008.[2]

He won two medals in the K-1 team event at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with a gold in 2013 and a bronze in 2011. He also won a bronze medal in the same event at the 2015 European Championships in Markkleeberg. He won gold medal in first ICF World Cup race 2016 in Ivrea.

De Gennaro finished 7th in the K1 event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

He lives in Roncadelle (Brescia) and he is a member of Corpo Forestale dello Stato.
