Giridhari Yadav (born 14 April 1961) is an indian politician. Who is currently a member of the Legislative Assembly of Bihar of India. He represents the Belhar constituency of Bihar and is a member of the Janata Dal (United) (JDU) political party.

He has been elected twice into the Lok sabha and four times in Bihar Vidhan Sabha. While he was in RJD he won both of his Lok sabha elections and one of his Bihar Vidhan Sabha election.

Early life and education

He was born on 14 April 1961 in Bihar. He got all of his higher education in Madhya Pradesh, even after his education he decided to stay in Madhya Pradesh and practice law.

His education qualifications includes degrees of M.A., L.L.B. He is an advocate by profession.

Career

He started his political career in Katoria, Bihar and eventually got elected as member of Bihar Vidhan Sabha from the same place.

After his triumph in the vidhan sabha election, he went on to get elected to 11th Lok Sabha in 1996. Later he came marginally close to getting elected to the 13th Lok sabha without a party ticket. In the 14th lok sabha elections he got elected again from Banka, Bihar.

In the 15th lok sabha, after he was denied a party ticket by R.J.D., he decided to join Indian National Congress (INC). No party got elected from Banka, bihar in that election, the election was won by an independent contestant. After his defeat in the 15th Lok Sabha elections, he joined J.D.U. and represented that party in Bihar Vidhan Sabha election from Belhar. He now holds a seat in Bihar Vidhan Sabha.
