Guarda Crater

Guarda crater is a possible impact crater[1] located in Guarda District in Portugal. It is estimated to be 200 million years old, and measures 35 kilometres (22 mi) in diameter. The crater itself is located northeast from urban area of Guarda with the center impact probably at 40°38′48.03″N 7°6′0.5″W / 40.6466750°N 7.100139°W / 40.6466750; -7.100139Coordinates: 40°38′48.03″N 7°6′0.5″W / 40.6466750°N 7.100139°W / 40.6466750; -7.100139. The crater has suffered a lot of hydric erosion.
