Heino Gaze (1908–1967) was German composer.[1] In Germany he is best known as the composer of "La Le Lu (nur der Mann im Mond schaut zu)" sung by Heinz Rühmann in the film Wenn der Vater mit dem Sohne. Probably most famos in America is his Song "Kalkutta liegt am Ganges" which became a hit performed by Lawrence Welk under the title "Calcutta". He worked on more than thirty film scores during his career.
