Henry Gantt (colonel)

Henry Gantt was a Confederate officer who is most noted for commanding the 19th Virginia Infantry at the battle of Gettysburg on July 3, 1863. During the battle, he was shot in the face and lost all of his teeth.[1] Gantt commanded the 19th Virginia during the Battle of North Anna.[2] He survived the Civil War and died on October 4, 1884.[3]
