Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Hermann Lichtenberger (20 August 1892 – 15 January 1959) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Luftwaffe during World War II who commanded the Flak-Brigade IV. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Hermann Lichtenberger retired from active duty on 31 October 1943.
