Het Belgisch Dagblad

Het Belgisch Dagblad ('The Belgian Daily') was a Dutch-language daily newspaper published in The Hague, the Netherlands 1915-1918.[1] The first issue was published on September 15, 1915.[2][3] Het Belgisch Dagblad was the organ of the Flemish Patriotic League, an organization of Flemish residents in the Netherlands whom defended the notion of a unitary Belgian state. The newspaper repeatedly declared its loyalty to the government in Le Havre. Initially the newspaper was run by Modeste Terwagne, later Léonce de Castillon took over the helm.[2] The last issue of Het Belgisch Dagblad was published on December 31, 1918.[4]
