Hi-wa itck

Hi-wa itck is a tradition concerning lovesickness mostly associated with the Mohave American Indians. This syndrome is associated with the separation of a loved one and the symptoms include insomnia, depression and loss of appetite and possibly suicide.[1] Hi-wa itck was typically experienced by men, especially older men abandoned by their younger wives.[2]
