Shahzada Husain Burhanuddin is the third son of Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin the current incumbent of the office of the 53rd Dawoodi Bohra Da'i al-Mutlaq,[1] and the grandson of Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin. He is a recitor and Hafiz (Quran).

Personal life

Husain Burhanuddin was born on 24 August 1977. He graduated from Al Jamea tus Saifiyah with the degree of al-Faqih al-Jayyid in 1418H where he also completed his degree as a Hafiz (Quran).[2] He is an honorary member of the Naqaabat Quraa’ al-Quran (Guild of Quran Reciters) in Cairo.[2]

Works

He has recorded the complete Qur'ânic text in the murattal (tarteel) style of recitation[3][4][5] certified by Al-Azhar University, Cairo.[2] He is also known for his recitiation in mujawwad (tajwid), mohaffiz[6] & mo'allim styles of recitation.[3]

Profession

He currently heads the department of Mahad al-Zahra, Al Jamea tus Saifiyah which specializes in memorization, recitation and studies of the Holy Quran.[2] He also heads the departments[7] of Saut ul Iman,[8] Janah al Tarannum & Al Jamea tus Saifiyah Publications.[9] He and his wife Naqiyah run the Raudat al Atfaal[10] programs which specializes in memorization, recitation and studies of the Holy Quran for children.

In 2016, he was assigned the Dawat-E-Hadiyah[11] department of al-Mazaraat al-Muqaddasah[12] by his father Syedna Mufaddal Saifuddin.
