Ibrahim Khan Gauri (born July 20, 1951) is an Urdu poet, journalist, actor and film lyricist. He writes under the pen name Ashk.

Qualification

His early education was at Badnagar, District Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He received his B.A. from Indore University in 1973 and his M.A. in Hindi Literature in 1974 from Indore University

Profession

He is a journalist, poet and film writer. He served 4 years with the Daily Indore Samachar, 6 years with Shama and Shushma magazines and 2 years with Sarita, a famous Hindi monthly magazine.
