Idriss Ech-Chergui (born May 22, 1985 in Saint-Chamond, Loire) is a French-Algerian footballer who currently plays for Paris.

Career

Early career

He came up through the junior ranks at AS Saint-Etienne but failed to land a professional contract with the club after a horrific injury. He later played for Bayonne FC, FC Sète and Nîmes Olympique.

JS Kabylie

On October 7, 2009, Ech-Chergui was linked with a move to Algerian side JS Kabylie,[1] and five days later he started his trial with the club.[2] On October 22, 2009, he returned to the club to finalize the details of his contract.[3]

On July 22, 2010, Ech-Chergui was released from the club for indiscipline.[4]

Montreal Impact

On February 10, 2011, Ech-Chergui signed a one-year deal with the Montreal Impact.[5] After leaving Montreal, he returned to France. On 6 January 2012, he signed for Championnat National club FC Martigues following a short trial period.[6]
