Irandokht was the first child of Ahmad Shah Qajar and Badr-almoluk.[2] She was princess of Iran and the heir presumptive to the Crown of Iran before leaving the country with her parents when she was 5 years old.

While Mohammadreza Pahlavi was in Switzerland for his education, he saw Irandokht and fall in love with her and tell his father, Reza khan about her. After Irandokht's arrival to Tehran, Reza khan didn't allow them to get marry.[3] So she returned to Europe and got married.[4]
