Jimmie Moore Jr. better known as J Metro (born April 25, 1984), is an American singer, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. On January 25, 2011, J Metro released his self-titled debut album J Metro which charted the Billboard singles “Alcoholic Logic” and “My People (All Over the World).” “My People” was released in 2010 peaking at number eighty two on the Billboard R&B Hot 100,[1] number three Hot Single Sales, number two Hot R&B Single Sales, and number four under R&B/ Hip Hop Singles. “Alcoholic Logic” was released in 2011 following the release of the album, and placed on the billboard charts for number two on Hot R&B Single Sales, and number eight for Hot Single Sales.[2]

Moore gained another Billboard charting single, upon releasing his latest single, "Midnight Dreams" on September 11, 2015. [3] The single charted at number six on the Hot Single Sales chart.[4]

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Jimmie Moore was born April 25, 1984 in Houston, Texas, the youngest child to Naomi Moore and Jimmie Moore Sr. He began endeavoring his musical talents at the age of 5 by receiving piano lessons, voice lessons, and group musicianship skills While in middle school, he learned to play the trombone by participating in concert and the marching band, as well as joining several academic and community choral ensembles.[5]

In 2013 J Metro toured West Africa as the headlining American artist in the Jazz A Ouaga Music Festival located in Burkina Faso[6] Moore signed on with The Orchard & SOM Music on October 15, 2014 as their first R&B artist, planning to release his upcoming single "Bodyguard".[7] On November 28 2014, J Metro released his single "Bodyguard", which reached to number twelve on the Hot Single Sales[8] The video was released on Vevo February 15, 2015 and recently premiered on VH1.[9] Moore released his latest single, "Magic" on March 24, 2015[10]

On August 7, 2015 Moore released his latest album, Sentir Mon Amour, which was sold digitally and physically in stores.[11][12] As the third single for Sentir Mon Amour, J Metro released the song, "Midnight Dreams" which is a ballad-styled single and edged towards Contemporary R&B.
