Jamal Salim (born 27 May 1995) is an Ugandan footballer, who plays for Al-Merreikh in Sudan.[1]

Career

Salim has played club football in Uganda for Express and KCCA.[2]

He is popularly known as Jamal Salim but his family name is Magoola and he has also been referred to as Jamal Magoola. He was signed by Express FC after the Inter regions tournament in 2011 which was won by his team Central. In 2012 he was attending Kampala University as a first year student undertaking a degree in human resource management and was one of the nominees for Bell Super League goalkeeper of the year.[3] He made his international debut for Uganda on 10 July 2012 against South Sudan.

How he started his career Jamal was born in Pallisa district which found in the eastern part of Uganda. He started playing football in the streets of pallisa at Agakan primary school. He later joined pallisa academy where he used to train with town council team and acted as a ball boy whenever, there was a match between pallisa town council and any other team. Jamal's football is hereditary talent as football was a family thing.
