Jan Fortune (born November 24, 1926) is a politician and engineer in the American state of Florida.

Fortune was born in 1926 in Pennsylvania to Robert J. and Blanch (Rauch) Fortune, of Scottish and Dutch ancestry.[1] He attended Pennsylvania State University and the University of Pennsylvania where he received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the former and an M.B.A in Industrial Management. He has worked for the Westinghouse Air Brake Company in Pennsylvania, Curtiss Wright Corporation in New jersey, A. T. Kearney and Company in Chicago, and Martin Company in Florida.[1]

He served in the Florida House of Representatives for Seminole County from 1963 to 1965 and 1967 to 1968.[2]

He married Donna Martin of Norwood, New York in 1953. They have one son, Jan Eric. Fortune is a member of the Masonic Lodge and is a World War II and Korean War veteran, serving in the United States Army Signal Corps as a Lieutenant in Korea and with the United States Maritime Service in World War II. His religion is Protestant.[1]
