Janani Bharadwaj is an Indian playback singer. She has sung hit songs in languages including Tamil and Telugu. She is the daughter of the famous Indian music director, Bharadwaj. She is famous for her hit songs Athiri Pathiri (Ayya), Indha Nimidam (Pallikoodam), Tottadaing (Aasal), among others.

Biography

Though Janani was born in Bangalore, she grew up and pursued her Computer Engineering college degree in Chennai. She is married to Kartik, a Software Engineer & they presently reside abroad. Her father, music director Bharadwaj is her Music Guru.

Music Debut & Career

Janani debuted as a professional playback singer during her 10th Standard (Xth Grade), with the song Athiri Pathiri, from the film Ayya. This was touted to be a solo introductory song of actress Nayantara in this film, and went on to become a huge hit. This was followed by her second song Kangalinal, in the Madhavan starrer Priyasakhi, which she sang alongside Harish Raghavendra. She went on to sing in more than 15 other films, predominantly in her father's music, delivering many more hits. Her song Tottadaing, with Mukesh, in the Ajith Kumar starrer Aasal was a runaway hit.

Apart from playback singing, she is an active stage performer & has performed in many Music Concerts around the globe including India, Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore & the United States.
