Jason Chery (born May 31, 1985) is an American professional gridiron football wide receiver who is currently a free agent. He most recently played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League. He was signed by the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2009. He played college football at Louisiana-Lafayette.

Chery has also been a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Green Bay Packers and Hartford Colonials.

Professional career

Carolina Panthers

After going undrafted in the 2009 NFL Draft, Chery was signed by the Carolina Panthers on May 1, 2009. He was waived on September 5 and re-signed to the practice squad the following day. The Panthers released Chery from the practice squad on October 12.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Chery was signed to the Pittsburgh Steelers' practice squad on December 23, 2009. Chery was signed to the active roster on January 6, 2010.

He was waived on June 15, 2010.

Green Bay Packers

Chery signed with the Green Bay Packers on August 5, 2010. He then was released September 4, 2010 right before the start of the 2010 Season.

Saskatchewan Roughriders

Chery signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders on January 30, 2012.[1] He was released during training camp on June 17, 2012.[2]

Personal life

Chery is of Haitian descent.[3]

Chery attended Spanish River High School in Boca Raton, Florida where he lettered in football and wrestling.
