Jason Croot (born 4 March 1971) is an English actor and director.[1][2]

Early life

Born in Bradford, he attended The Poor School in King's Cross, London, England.

Career

Croot's acting career started back in 2000 when he completed an NCFE in Performing Arts in his native City of Bradford, He moved to London in 2002 to continue his training at The Poor School. He also completed a Drama Diploma at Birkbeck, University of London.

2006 saw Croot move forward in the independent film scene and since then he has acted in 11 feature films. In 2009 Jason starred in Freight (2010), an action packed movie where he takes on the role of Losef, a Romanian criminal, playing alongside Andrew Tiernan.

In 2009 Croot played Gilles De Rais in "The Death of Love" video for the Extreme Metal Band Cradle of Filth.

Croot also plays alongside Tamzin Outhwaite as a Bulgarian Assassin, Ivano Popov, in series 2 of The Fixer, a drama for ITV by Kudos Productions which was directed by the highly acclaimed Sam Miller.

He made his directorial debut in 2010 with Le Fear, a cult Comedy featuring Lucinda Rhodes-Flaherty.

Le Fear II: Le Sequel is currently in post production and due to be released in 2016.[3]

Croot has also directed several other productions including Demons & Doors, a unique Thriller in which the lead female character is played by 40 different actresses.

Jason appeared in the 2012 UK feature film Life Just Is.
