He joined Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura in 1976. He opened and lead New York City office of the practice from 1986 to 1990. He is now Senior Partner at Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura.

Key data

Jean-Pierre Carniaux’s design work in the last thirty eight years has ranged from the design of the National Theater of Catalonia, a 240.000 m2 development for a district of Montpellier in Antigone, including housing, offices and retail areas, to the design of perfume bottles for Christian Dior and the Shiseido Headquarter in Tokyo. He has participated in the projects of the New Terminal 1 at Barcelona Airport, a 50-floor skyscraper in Chicago, and a Congress Centre in Madrid. He designed as well La Zona Mall in Kawasaki, Japan, the W hotel in Barcelona and is now involved in Beijing and Shanghai.
