Jean-Sébastien Dominique Francois Jacques (born October 1971) is the CEO of Rio Tinto Group, having succeeded Sam Walsh in July 2016.

Early life

Jacques was born in France[3] in October 1971,[4][5] has a master's degree from École Centrale Paris.[2]

Career

Jacques joined Rio Tinto in 2011, and became head of copper and coal businesses.[6][7] Jacques became deputy CEO on 17 March 2016 and CEO on 2 July 2016.[8][9]

Jacques was previously group strategy director for Tata Steel.[6]

Personal life

He is married, with children.[5]
