Jeannette "Jeany" Spark (born 7 November 1982) is an English actress, known for portraying Linda Wallander in the British television series Wallander.[1] Series 3 first aired on BBC1 in July 2012.

She studied English literature at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford, graduating with a First Class Honours degree in 2004. She then trained as an actress at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 2007.[2]

Spark was briefly married to another actor in 2008 but the marriage only lasted a year.

In 2008, she played school teacher Mercy Chant and very good friend of Angel Clare (played by Eddie Redmayne) in the BBC adaptation of Thomas Hardy’s Tess of the D’Urbervilles.[3]

In 2010 she acted the part of a homeless girl the third episode of Sherlock, The Great Game.[4] In 2011 she portrayed Joan Malin in the television drama film Hattie. In 2013, she took the role of the deputy headmistress, Emma, in Man Down, the Channel 4 comedy series. She plays the role of Detective Inspector Kate Gemmill in the 2015 BBC drama The Interceptor.[5]

In 2011, she appeared in "The National Anthem", an episode of the anthology series Black Mirror.
