Jeroen Tas (born May 6, 1959)[1] is a Dutch entrepreneur and senior executive in the healthcare, information technology and financial services industries with over 30 years of experience.[2] In 2016, he assumed the role as CEO of Connected Care & Health Informatics at Philips.[3] and was appointed member of the Executive Committee at Royal Philips.

Prior to his current role, he was named CEO of Philips Healthcare Informatics Solutions and Services Business Group in January 2014,[4] a business group within Philips’ Healthcare sector that supports governments and health systems’ and hospitals’ customized clinical programs to implement new models of care. Philips is using digital technologies to change the way healthcare is delivered through its interoperable, cloud-based data analytics solutions called HealthSuite digital platform.

Education

Jeroen is a native of the Netherlands. He earned a master's degree in computer science and business administration from the Free University of Amsterdam.[5]

Career

In 1998, Jeroen Tas and Jerry Rao co- founded MphasiS, an IT company, that later merged with Indian IT services company BFL Software in 2000. MphasiS rapidly rose to be one of the top 10 IT/BPO companies in India.[6] Jeroen also served as President, COO and vice-chairman of the Board for MphasiS, a company with revenues of $1+ billion.[7] In 2006, Electronic Data Systems (EDS) acquired MphasiS, and it is now majority-owned by Hewlett-Packard.[8] At EDS, Jeroen served as Vice President and General Manager, responsible for the global competency centers.1,[9]

Prior to his time at MphasiS and EDS, Jeroen was head of Transaction Technology, Inc., Citigroup's tech lab, responsible for the advancement of the bank’s customer-facing systems.5 Under his leadership, he oversaw the deployment of the company’s Internet banking platform. While he was at Citigroup, Jeroen was a member of the Global Marketing Council and the Global Consumer Technology Group.[10]

Since taking the CEO role at Philips, Jeroen initiated a pivotal partnership with Salesforce to support the building of Philips HealthSuite digital platform. Additionally, in 2015, Jeroen helped launch a new mobile diabetes monitoring system in conjunction with Radbound University to offer patients an integrated health management system that is connected, efficient and patient-centric.[12]

Jeroen has spoken at a number of high-profile events, including Dreamforce, Techonomy and Forbes Health Summit.[13],[14],[15]

Awards

Jeroen was named the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year in 2004 in the Information technology category for the New York region.[16]

He has also received a number of honors for his role as CIO, including CIO Magazine’s CIO of the Year Award in 2013,[17] NASSCOM Global CIO Award in 2014,[18] World International Congress’ 2014 CIO Leadership Award[19] and European CIO of the Year Award in 2014.[20]

Jeroen won the Accenture Innovation Award 2015 - Corporate Innovator of the Year
