Jessee/Miller Field

Jessee/Miller Field is located on the campus of Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. It is the home field of the Trinity College football team. In recent years the field has also been affectionately referred to as "The Coop" (in reference to Trinity's mascot the Bantam).

Named after Trinity's legendary head football coaches Dan Jessee and Don Miller, it is the 10th oldest college football field in America. The 1st game was played on September, 13th 1900. Dan Jesse was the head coach at Trinity from 1932-1966 compiling a record of 150-76-7. His successor, Don Miller, followed with a 174-77-5 in 32 seasons as head coach of the Bantams. He retired in 1998 as the all-time winningest coach in New England Division III football history.

In 2003, the sign on the legendary field was vandalized and removed by rivals at another NESCAC school. Tempers flared, and coaches from both colleges were forced to get involved and speak to their respective athletes.
