John Bani

Father John Bennett Bani (born July 1, 1941) was the President and head of state of Vanuatu from 25 March 1999 until March 24, 2004.[1]

His term expired in 2004.[2] He is an Anglican priest from Pentecost Island. He is one of the founders of the Cultural Association which later become the Vanuaku Party].He is a nationalist and a man of Christian principles.[3]
