John Smith (dates of birth and death unknown) was an English cricketer. Smith's batting style is unknown. He was born at Sheffield, Yorkshire.

Smith made a single first-class appearance for Yorkshire against Manchester in 1845 at Moss Lane, Manchester.[1] In a match which Yorkshire won by an innings and 67 runs, Smith was dismissed by John Sherman for a duck.[2]

His brother Paul Smith also played first-class cricket.
