Josué Francisco Trocado

Dr. Josué Francisco Trocado, KCSG (Póvoa de Varzim, Póvoa de Varzim, 28 June 1882 - 8 December 1962) was a Portuguese composer.

Background

He was the son of Francisco Luís Trocado, Jr. (Póvoa de Varzim, Póvoa de Varzim, 29 April 1850 - 24 June 1904) and wife Maria Emília da Cruz Campos (Póvoa de Varzim, Póvoa de Varzim, 1851 - 26 August 1882), paternal grandson of Francisco Luís Trocado and wife Florbela Rosa and maternal grandson of Manuel Ferreira Campos and wife Ana Emília da Cruz.

He was a Dr., a Professor and a Music Composer, etc.

He married in Póvoa de Varzim, Póvoa de Varzim, on 20 July 1907 Maria Alves de Campos (Póvoa de Varzim, Póvoa de Varzim, 19 July 1886 - 2 January 1953), who married secondly José Gomes Loureiro, without issue, only sister of Virgínia Alves de Campos (Póvoa de Varzim, Póvoa de Varzim, 10 February 1889 - Póvoa de Varzim, Póvoa de Varzim, 15 June 1979), unmarried and without issue, and daughter of José Fernandes da Silva Campos (Póvoa de Varzim, Póvoa de Varzim, 12 March 1854 - 1892), a maternal nephew of the 1st Baron of a Póvoa de Varzim, and wife (m. Braga, São Vítor) Carolina Alves Campos (Póvoa de Varzim, Póvoa de Varzim, 18 August 1861 - 3 February 1922), and had seven children:
