Kanodar is a census town in Banaskantha district in the Indian state of Gujarat.

Demographics

The population is split quite evenly between males and females.

The town's literacy rate is 100% (compare with the national average of 59.5%), with male literacy at 100%, and female literacy at 100%. Roughly 1,600 people (15%) in Kanodar are children 6 years old or younger.[1]

Education

There are four Gujarati medium primary schools, one Gujarati secondary school and one English medium school.[2]

Economy

Kanodar's economy has historically been known for hand loom production and textiles especially by Meman weavers;[3] more recently, they have found a niche market in reconditioning jeeps.[4]
