Karala is a village in North West Delhi, India. It is located on the main Kanjhawla road, and is part of the Saraswati-Vihar sub-division.

Demographics

Karala is one of largest villages of Delhi. The main gotra of the people in Karala is Mathur(Matyasar),Vats,and Bhatneria.

Geography

The village has now been merged with Rohini Sector 37,Sector 38. Nearby villages are Kanjhawala, Majri, Rani Khera, sultanpur dabas and Begumpur. karala has its own water tank. karala village have its own sanskrit college the one of the oldest sanskrit pathshala since the english time. the one of the famous shaheed bhagat singh park situated in the middle of the village called bazar panna the ancient place where all the trade union meeting held. the ghoga baniya was one of the old sahukar in bazar panna. The great Radha Krishna mandir situated in "Bazar panna". the temple is the symbol of hindu worship toward lord krishna.The village also has a big stadium with a football playground.The song of famous movie "Rockstar" - "Jo bhi main" was shoot in the same stadium on 14th December 2010.

There is a big temple in the town known as Dada Mandu used for worship by the people of Karala and Majri. There is also a big pond adjacent to the temple. The village also has a big stadium with a football playground.There is also a park named as "Shaheed Bhagat Singh Park".
