Katherine's Landing, Lake Mohave

A view of the lake, floating dock, and boat docks.

Named for a gold mine called Katherine Mine that operated in the area in the late 1800s, Katherine Landing is located on the Arizona side of the Colorado River and Lake Mohave just north of Bullhead City in the Lake Mead National Recreational Area, which is administered by the U.S. National Park Service. It is located two miles upstream from Davis Dam and accessed from Arizona Highway 68. The National Park Service reports that more than 1.2 million people visit Katherine Landing each year, making it the most popular visitor destination on Lake Mohave. Although it is often referred to as "Katherine's Landing," the correct name is Katherine Landing, singular and not possessive.

The Katherine Landing facility includes a slipway, floating dock, rental boats and recreational craft, a restaurant, convenience store, 53-unit motel, RV park and campground.

The motel, restaurant and other commercial facilities are operated by the Seven Crown Resorts, Inc., which is an authorized concessionaire.
