Kenneth S. Kosik, M.D. is an American neurologist, author, researcher and professor in neuroscience at the University of California, Santa Barbara.[1] Recent contributions includes a significant discovery in understanding the way human embryonic stem cells function.[2] He has contributed to novel thinking about how to reduce risk for getting Alzheimer's disease and reduce the impact of this illness on our communities.[3][4] He was the founder and executive director of Cognitive Fitness & Innovative Therapies, followed by the Cottage Center for Brain Fitness.[5] Kosik provided much of the original data on the largest family in the world with a genetic form of Alzheimer's disease located in Antioquia, Colombia.[6][7]
