Khalishpur (Bengali: খালিশপুর) is an Upazila of Khulna District^[1] in the Division of Khulna, Bangladesh.

Geography

Khalishpur is located at 22°51′00″N 89°32′10″E / 22.8500°N 89.5361°E / 22.8500; 89.5361. It has 35343 households and total area 11.47 km².

Demographics

As of 1991 Bangladesh census, Khalishpur has a population of 173255. Males constitute 55.95% of the population, and females 44.05%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 96193. Khalishpur has an average literacy rate of 59.8% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.^[2]
