The Klein Award, named after Lawrence Klein, the founder of the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art, was awarded at the annual MoCCA Art Festival in New York from 2002 to 2012. It was presented to an artist whose outstanding work had elevated the comic art form. Originally known as the MoCCA Art Festival Award, in 2009 it was renamed in honor of the MoCCA founder.

In 2013, under the administration of The Society of Illustrators, the Klein Award was replaced with the MoCCA Arts Festival Awards of Excellence, intended to recognize the most outstanding work on view at the festival.
