Kunto Aji (born January 4, 1987) is an Indonesian singer and actor.[1] Aji is an finalist of Indonesian Idol of season 5 which had finished in Spectacular 9. He was gained fame with his debut single "Terlalu Lama Sendiri".[2]
Career
2008–2010: Early career as Indonesian Idol
Aji have began his career as singer in a talent show. In 2008, Aji auditioned for season 5 of RCTI's singing competition Indonesian Idol. During the Workshop 1, he performed Afgan' hit song "Terima Kasih Cinta". Finally, he was advanced from this round and revealed feel sad and happy over his escape. Aji was eliminated in Spectacular 9.

2014–present: "Terlalu Lama Sendiri" and Generation Y
In 2014, Aji had released his debut single "Terlalu Lama Sendiri" which directed by Benziano. His single has occupies position of #12 in Indonesia iTunes Chart Singles[3] and also became trending topic in social media Twitter. Because due to popularity, Aji had many earning nominations in any annual awards, such as three nominations and only winning one award (Breakthrough Artist of the Year) at the 2nd Indonesian Choice Awards, one nominations for Best of the Best Newcomer at the 18th Annual Anugerah Musik Indonesia, etc. After this, he had released his debut studio album Generation Y under the label Uppercut[4] and produced two single: "Ekspektasi" and "Pengingat" who was collaboration with Indonesian jazz Barry Likumahuwa. At the 2016 Dahsyatnya Awards, Aji performed for two songs Justin Bieber' "Love Yourself" and Meghan Trainor' "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" who with Isyana Sarasvati. In 2016, Aji returning earning two nominations, including Album of the Year (lost to Isyana Sarasvati' Explore!) at the 3rd Indonesian Choice Awards.
