Kyra Nijinsky

Kyra Nijinsky (19 June 1913 – 1 September 1998), was a Russian ballet dancer, the daughter of Vaslav Nijinsky.

Kyra Nijinsky was born in Vienna on 19 June 1913, the daughter of Vaslav Nijinsky and Romola de Pulszky, a Hungarian socialite.[1]

Amongst other companies, she danced for Ballet Rambert, and created the central role in Frederick Ashton's Mephisto Valse.[1]

In 1936, she married 1936 Igor Markevitch, who was Sergei Diaghilev's last lover, and they had one son together, but later divorced.[1]
